In August, 2012 the Association was formed in response to community concerns in regard to communication between the Community and the Alpine Shire and other Government agencies.
The Upper Kiewa Valley Community Association Inc. is now a lobby and advocacy group. We aim to improve communication to the various groups in the Upper Kiewa Valley and also between the many groups in our region.
UKVCA meets monthly to work on community improvement opportunities and issues of local concern. It communicates concerns and suggestions to the Alpine Shire Council, other appropriate government departments and relevant organisations, working c0llaboratively to achieve mutually beneficial and appropriate outcomes for the communities in our valley.
